  1. I tried to link to a facebook page that I made just for my business. It takes me to the page , but it looks like it is editable by anyone. Did I set the page up wrong? I would appreciate if you could help.

    • Greg, try this…log out of facebook, then click the link. Or…use another browser where you aren’t logged in. Let me know if I’m wrong.

  2. Hi Jan,
Thanks for all the wonderful tutorials. I have some bullets on the About Me page. The words next to my picture take up half the page width and then they begin to take up the whole width of the page. The problem is that it does this in the middle of the info for one bullet. In other words, the info for that one bullet is first taking up half the width and then taking up the whole width. I am not sure if I am explaining this correctly. You will see when you look at it. I have tried changing the words around so that all the info for that one bullet will fit together and I can not get it to fit correctly. Let me know if you cannot understand my babbling :). HELP!!! Thanks again. You are amazing!!!

    • Hi Jackie,
Take a look at the page now. I adjusted the width of your picture. I added some Custome CSS code in Apperance-cronus theme options. At the bottom of this page is a place for Custom Css. Click in the field and scroll to the bottom of the field and you’ll see the image adjustments. The width is set at 250px right now. You can adjust it if you want, save, then look at it on the frontend. This is how you could test it to get it the way you want it. It looks okay to me in my browser.

  3. Jan,
It is me again. I got the second picture off; but now I can’t replace the picture that is there. I have a picture of me in the Media Library with sunflowers that I would like to use. Every time I try to replace the picture, I get both pictures.

    • Hi Wendy,
You can go into the Team Member Module to change the picture. Go down to Image URL and click on Upload Image. At the top left, click on the Media Library tab. Choose your sunflower picture and click Set As Image. Save the module and update the page. Let me know if that works for you!

  5. I did get MY picture on the About Me page but Jim Bob’s is still there!!! Help!! Thanks!!

    Reply
    • Sally, I don’t see Jim Bob’s picture, just yours. His Bio is still there but only your picture is there. You may have fixed it already. If you don’t remove his picture url and put yours in there with his, both might show up. Or you may have duplicated that module and had two bio areas on there.

Anyway, it’s gone now as far as I can see. ~~Jan

  7. Jan,

Thank you for the tutorials. They are helpful. I am having difficulty with the alignment of the My Bio icon and accompanying text. It will not move to align directly under the Which Do YOU Want to Improve First?

    thanks

    • Laura, I’ve added “blurb6” at the bottom of the module in CSS Class. If you want to line the blurbs up with the one across from it, watch this tutorial and it will help you:

  8. Hi,Jan. I accidentally inserted a picture on my About Me page. I watched the revisions tutorial, but as far as i could tell,it only dealt with text. Can you please help me remove the top picture? Thanks so much. Teresa

  9. Jan,
How can I make the image on the About Me page a video instead?

    Shalisa

    • Shalisa, one thing you could do is remove the picture and insert a video on the page where you want it and let the text wrap around it. It would be similar to pages like this one:

I haven’t done a tutorial on placing your own video on a page. I will be doing that soon.

  10. Hello Jan,
I’m having trouble updating my information in “About Me.” I have the message Leave page to make RSS feed button work. Also, the black and white logo will not paste on the footer. Only the blue logo pastes.
    Thanks for your help,

    • Judy, I don’t exactly what happened on your About Me page. I tried to restore it from a revision you made but the page wouldn’t update. I created a new About Me page and deleted the old one. Please make sure all the information you had put on that page is still there…I was able to save your info for the new page but would like you to confirm that I did.

The footer logo is fixed. It looked like you may not have pasted the link to your logo correctly…some of the original code was gone. I had to put the code back in…so I went ahead and pasted in the link to your logo.

If you have any more issues please let me know.

  11. I have a personal facebook page, but I don’t want to use it. Would you recommend a business facebook page to use?

    Reply
    • Brenda, you certainly could create a page to use for your business. However, you would need to make a commitment to keep that page current by making regular posts and actively seeking people to follow you. I feel all social media that you are linking to from your site should be kept current and appropriate for business. An alternative on the About Me page, is to try leaving the # sign in the field for the link to Facebook. If anyone clicks on it, it goes nowhere. In the footer, I’ll do a tutorial as to how to turn them off if people don’t want to use them.
